What is a Dynalite

  • A Dynalite is an Alternator built to look like a Dynamo.
  • They are made in the UK and are all brand new.
  • A Dynalite will provide up to 80% more power that a Dynamo, and weigh up to 40% less.
  • Compared to modern components and technology these are far more reliable than the old Dynamos.
  • The fitting is identical and the wiring changes are minimal.
  • There are lots of different Lucas Dynamos so accordingly there are lots of different Dynalites to replace them. We will need the number off your Dynamo to identify which one you need.

They come with a built-in regulator so the old control box on the inner wing or bulkhead is no longer required, but will remain in place to ensure it still looks original. A minor change to the wiring in the control box will be necessary and full instructions are given. Alternatively, a new dummy control box is available to purchase, again with easy wiring instructions. 

These units come without a pulley but often the original pulley can be used, but if needed new pulleys are also available at Burghfield Starter & Alternator Centre.
